Job Description

Part-Time Position, approximately 10 hours per week

Salary negotiable depending on experience

The Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra Executive Director will lead + manage this nonprofit organization, overseeing operations, finances, programs, staff + volunteers. They will drive strategic planning, fundraising + stakeholder relationships to achieve the organization’s mission + goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in nonprofit management, fundraising + leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit management or related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build + maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the organization’s mission + goals.
  • Oversee the organization’s operations, finances, programs, staff + volunteers.
  • Drive fundraising efforts to support the organization’s mission.
  • Build + maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal + regulatory requirements.
  • Develop policies + procedures to ensure effective management of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors to ensure effective governance of the organization.

About the Symphony

Since its inception in 2009, Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra has been dedicated to enriching life in the lakes region by sharing quality orchestral music. Over 60 volunteer musicians, an active board of directors and a musicians council contribute to the thriving organization, currently in its 15th season.
