Colt Lien

Bass Soloist for CLSO Beethoven’s 9th Symphony

Colt Camron Lien is a composer, educator, conductor, and baritone vocalist. He is the Director of Choral Activities at Alexandria Area High School. Lien is currently working on his M.M. degree in Choral Conducting at Michigan State University, and he has a B.A. in Vocal Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. He studied choral composing and arranging under internationally renowned composer and conductor René Clausen.

Lien has worked closely with Dr. Michael Culloton, assistant-directing the Minnesota All-State Lutheran Choir during their two-week annual tour throughout MN. He is a Senior Composition Instructor working for the Mini-Masterclass firm Composition Online. Lien previously worked as Chorus Master for the Fargo-Moorhead Opera. Performing credits include Handel’s Messiah, Schubert’s Mass in G, and other various musicals and operas.
